Specialist X-Ray Inspector

Reports To: Supervisor/Ops Manager

Job Summary:  We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as X-Ray Inspectors (Specialists). The X-Ray Inspector (Specialist) will be responsible for providing security screening services for parcels being processed for our 3PL facility. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As an X-Ray Inspector (Specialist) you will be responsible for identifying dangerous, hazardous or prohibited goods in parcels and preventing those parcels from being processed for shipment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lifting boxes with electric pallet jack

  • Visually identifying and recognizing dangerous and prohibited goods

  • Ability to load and unload pallets

  • Ability to load and unload trucks

  • Ability to identify dangerous, hazardous and prohibited goods based on package markings

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate security equipment

  • Ability to understand and retain knowledge of standard operating procedures

  • Ability to successfully complete on the job training and certification process

  • Inspection skills

  • Basic PC skills are required (i.e., keyboarding skills, basic mouse usage, opening and closing programs and files using MS Windows)

Equipment and Technology:

  • Operate manual and electric pallet jack

  • Ability to work within a laptop/desktop computer

  • Handheld Barcode Scanner

  • Weight Scales

Safety: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Perform all tasks in a manner which promotes safety in accordance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs 

  • Good communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Familiarity with operation of basic hand tools

  • Machine experience is a plus

  • See and identify colors

Experience: X-Ray operation and experience is a plus

Schedule: Day Shift-Depending on needs of the business
